Between Beaver and Monaca, the Beaver Bridge is a rail road bridge that spans the Ohio River. From the Bridgewater Crossing point, it’s just an amazing marvel of engineering to shoot. The bridge was designed by Albert Lucius and built for the Pittsburgh and Lake Erie Railroad by the McClintic-Marshall Company of Pittsburgh between March 1908 and May 1910. Despite the failure of the Quebec cantilever bridge during construction in 1907, the railroad went ahead with the cantilever design for this bridge. Then you may turn around and photograph the Rochester-Beaver Railroad Bridge, which is not as large as the Beaver Bridge but offers some great reflection opportunities. There is also some vibrant floral growing nearby.
From the Bridgewater Crossing point, it’s just an amazing marvel of engineering to shoot.
